The Canadian eTA allows visa-exempt foreign nationals to travel to Canada by air for:

Canada eTA Requirements
To apply for a Canadian Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA), you must meet these criteria:
Valid Passport
From an eTA-eligible country, valid for your entire stay in Canada.
Good Health
No serious contagious diseases or conditions.
Sufficient Funds
Evidence of sufficient funds to cover your stay.
Air Travel Only
eTA is only required when flying to Canada. Not needed for land/sea entry.
Payment Method
Credit or debit card to pay the CAD $7 eTA fee.

Valid email to receive your eTA confirmation.

Citizens of the following countries can apply for a Canada eTA to fly to Canada:

- • U.S. citizens do not need an eTA or visa to visit Canada
- • Canadian citizens and permanent residents cannot apply for an eTA
- • If you have dual citizenship with Canada, you must travel with a Canadian passport
- • eTA is only required for air travel – not for driving or arriving by boat
